-The Horizon Europe project will be represented at Innovation Fair 2026, taking place from 26 to 30 October in Jiangsu, China, through its partner Finnova Foundation, co-organiser of the event.
-With a budget of ā¬5.57 million and 15 partner organisations, SOCIAREM develops technological and social solutions to make Renewable Energy Communities more accessible, efficient and inclusive.
The European project SOCIAREM, funded by the European Unionās Horizon Europe programme, will be represented at Innovation Fair 2026, taking place from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October in Jiangsu, China. The project will participate through its partner Finnova Foundation, co-organiser of the event, which is expected to bring together startups, investors, research organisations and institutions, including representatives from 250 European organisations.
SOCIAREMās participation will provide an opportunity to present its approach to smart grids, renewable energy communities and citizen-centred energy solutions, while encouraging international dialogue on the role of technological and social innovation in the energy transition.
From Research to Real-World Applications
SOCIAREMās technological and social solutions will be tested at four demonstration sites in Switzerland, Cyprus, Portugal and Italy, allowing the consortium to assess their potential in different energy, regulatory and community contexts.
These demonstration activities will contribute to understanding how smart energy technologies and citizen-centred approaches can work together to support the development of more accessible and efficient Renewable Energy Communities.
By combining technical innovation with social inclusion, SOCIAREM aims to contribute to a more decentralised, participatory and sustainable European energy system.
Strengthening International Dialogue on Energy Innovation
SOCIAREM will be represented at Innovation Fair 2026 by Juanma Revuelta, Director General of Finnova Foundation, and Massimiliano Dragoni, Digital Transition Expert.
As a project partner, Finnova contributes to SOCIAREMās communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities, supporting the visibility of its objectives and results among European and international audiences.
The event will provide an opportunity to introduce SOCIAREM to a wider international audience, exchange perspectives on renewable energy innovation and explore potential synergies with organisations working on smart grids, digital energy management, solar technologies and community-based energy models.
SOCIAREMās presence at Innovation Fair 2026 also reflects the growing importance of international knowledge exchange in addressing shared challenges related to renewable energy integration, energy efficiency and citizen participation.
Through its participation, the project seeks to raise awareness of innovative approaches that place communities at the centre of the energy transition.
